Sauerkraut Festival

FREE 21st Annual Sauerkraut Festival: Cabbage bowling, sauerkraut ice cream and more. The Sauerkraut Festival takes place in Scappoose, Oregon on Saturday, September 18th, 2010. Once home to the Steinfield pickle factory, this small Oregon town draws 10,000 visitors annually to it's saurkraut festival. Events and include cabbage bowling and a sauerkraut eating contest. Try a chocolate sauerkraut cupcake, sauerkraut ice cream and the famous Scappoose Sauerkraut Sandwich! Browse local artisan and farmer's booths. Kids play in the Cabbage Patch.

The annual festival is held in Heritage Park, in Scappoose, the third Saturday of September from 10am to 6pm.
