Community Christmas Tree Lighting and Lighted Truck Parade
Downtown Vernonia starting at 6 pm will be a lighted truck parade following by a community Christmas tree lighting. Santa will be at City Hall following the parade to hand out candy canes and visit with kids. Following this event at Washington Grade school is the 204th Army Band to give a FREE performance (donations gladly accepted as a fundraiser for the local school bands) starting at 7 pm. Oregon 150 Take Care of Oregon Days in Vernonia
Come help clean up Vernonia's rivers, parks, and downtown. Register at Providence Medical Group starting at 9 am. Let's make this the largest show of volunteers in 1 single day in all of Oregon.

Come enjoy First Fridays in Vernonia. Open air country market, crafts, art show, music, food, and socializing. Be a part of our town and relax after a long week of work. May will feature a May Pole dance in Hawkins Park. In the Scout Cabin will be an art show and the Blue House Cafe selling beer, wine and appetizers. Come make a May day basket.

Come to first fridays in Vernonia. At the Vernonia Learning Center in downtown Vernonia we will feature a holocaust display by artist Dave Anderson. Events also will be art show, musicians, food, open air market and crafts and more.
